Through emotionally written diary entries and expressive anime-inspired visuals, Behind Their Eyes invites you to step inside the private lives of fictional young men and women — ordinary, but all the more beautiful because of it. These are not superheroes or legends. They are students, dreamers, shy romantics, and quiet rebels — just like the people we see around us every day.
Their voices are soft, but their stories speak volumes.
Each diary reflects a deeply personal view of life, love, identity, self-worth, and emotion — the things we all wrestle with, quietly, in our own hearts. Sometimes they’re vulnerable. Sometimes they’re brave. Sometimes they’re falling in love or finding themselves for the first time. And sometimes they’re just trying to get through the day.

Please note: This website is also a demonstration of what artificial intelligence is capable of in terms of image creation. I use the tools available and make no secret of it. Unfortunately I am not gifted with talents to draw images like shown on this website. But this is without prejudice to the fact that I design the characters according to my own ideas and make the inputs for the image creation according to my ideas developed in the creative process. Storytelling is mainly made by myself, just assisted by artificial intelligence. Although I am quite good in English, I am not a native speaker and artificial intelligence helps me expressing my ideas in a more sophisticated manner. So, texts on this website are a kind of cooproduction between human brain and maschine. I also understand this project as an experiment on how the outcome of content production can be improved by using the most advanced tools. If you reject this approach, I fully understand that.
